Short bio
Jesús Rodríguez-Molina received the Ph.D. degree (Hons.), in 2017, with the thesis titled “Contribution to the Design, Implementation and Standardization of Semantic Middleware Architectures for the Smart Grid.” He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Madrid. He has performed research activities at ETH Zürich, Switzerland; SINTEF, Norway; NREL, CU Boulder, Colorado; and TU Wien, Vienna. His research interests include distributed and cyber-physical systems, blockchain, autonomous vehicles, the smart grid, and middleware. He has recently started getting familiar with deep learning.
My main interests lie on research and development activities that result in services, applications and devices that are applied to the real world and push forward the boundaries of knowledge. Interoperability and interconnectivity implementation works, requirement analysis, studies of the state of the art, proposal elaboration and conceiving demonstrators to deploy prototypes are some of my usual activities. My main research interests involve Cyber-Physical Systems, the Smart Grid, underwater robotics, middleware distributed architectures and Wireless Sensor Networks. As a member of academia, I am also involved in teaching activities and genuinely enjoy transmitting the know-how that I have acquired to other people. I am committed to scientific paper publication and review for Journal Citation Reports journals.
